My husband and I were privileged to go to Mexico for the second time this December. It was a work trip of sorts, traveling with folks from Shaklee. It was a trip I earned by helping others with their health and their wellness businesses as well. It certainly was with work but it was a whole lot of pleasure. Shaklee knows how to treat you right. We were at a 5 star hotel/resort with wonderful rooms, pool, food and drink. As you walked through the resort, there were couches, sectionals and all sorts of seating that just invited you to relax. We found many napping or just sitting and visiting with each other in these spots.
Its so neat to have everything taken care of for you. Prior to the trip, someone from a travel company called me to set up the flights we would take to Mexico. Shaklee was waiting for us at the Cancun airport with a transport company and cold water to take us to the resort. We had 5 wonderful days of fun and sun. Shaklee even takes care of having smoothies for us at breakfast. So great to not have to worry about traveling with our cans of protein shakes. They had them all for us at the resort and wonderfully friendly men who were making them every morning.
One of my teammates, Katie, also earned the trip for her and her husband. They chose to bring their 2 children with them. It was their first trip on Shaklee and it was really a thrill to see her and her family enjoy their time away, relaxing and having fun. It was great knowing that we were able to work together to make that happen. I am so proud of all that Katie does to help so many others. Prior to the trip, there was a message sent out that some of the men were getting a golf game together for one of the mornings. I asked my husband if he’d be interested in golfing in Playa Del Carmen and he jumped at the chance. Not only did he get to golf Saturday morning, He was paired up with Dan Rajack, Shaklee’s COO and two other guys who are spouses of great distributors. What a thrilling and unique opportunity! Dan is a Canadian, loves hockey and running, so Tom had a lot to talk about with him during their round. That morning while they were at the course, one of my pals and I headed to the spa for a massage. I’ve had lots of massages in my day and this ranked up there as one of the best. Here is the outdoor pool in the spa and a spot where you can get a massage outdoors.
Another great part of the trip is the time I get to spend with other Shaklee business leaders who I have come to know over the years. Some of them I call my Shaklee sisters as we have so much fun together and we are really like family, all working for the Shaklee family.
We sat by the pool, walked on the beach, ate meals together and shared stories of our success and struggles we have had. I have never worked for a company like this before. It is so unique in that regardless of who you meet in Shaklee, they are nice and genuine, interested in hearing your story, and sharing tips or advice. Whether it’s another distributor, one of the home office sales staff, someone from field support or even the CEO or COO of Shaklee, they are all great. I joke with my mentor and upline leader Barb that even on the fun trips, she is always strategizing. I usually stay away from her and her notebook during the trip, but before the week or trip is over, even in Mexico, thanks to some rain one afternoon, Barb helped me lay out my plan for 2015 and beyond. I can’t imagine working anywhere else and find myself with a huge feeling of gratitude for the opportunity that I have to represent Shaklee.
I am looking forward to the next fun trip with Shaklee. All those who help many and qualify with the required points will be heading to Maui in May. I am getting close and will be thrilled if I can once again tell my husband to pack his bags because we are heading out on another trip.
