This is the 3rd and final part of the series on Entrepreneurship. I have created an e-book that provides tips on how to maintain a healthy mind, body, and spirit. This guide to wellness is not something I take lightly, as it is so important to stay healthy and well in all aspects of life, especially for entrepreneurs who face the challenges of hard work. The e-book offers natural choices that can help individuals live healthier lives and feel better.  I encourage you to access the guide here.  The episode highlights the benefits of personal development for entrepreneurs, particularly in building resilience and improving decision-making skills. The statistics presented in the episode show that entrepreneurship is challenging, and many businesses fail within the first few years. Personal development can help entrepreneurs overcome these challenges and build resilience by providing them with the skills and knowledge needed to make better decisions.  Personal development can take many forms, such as reading books, attending leadership seminars, working with a coach, or seeking out successful mentors. The episode emphasizes the importance of continuing to do the work and showing up for oneself to build resilience and improve decision-making skills continually. • Self comparison and Choices :Reflections from my most recent Ballroom Dance competition
by moyrapodcast on November 29, 2022 at 12:53 pm

I come to you today solo.  It's been a while since I turned the mic on myself.  I found myself reflecting on the choices that we make and being present to those choices during my last Ballroom dance competition. I feel privileged and blessed to be able to participate in dance as I do. And yet if you have listened to me before or followed me on social , this dance is truly a metaphor for life.  I learn so much about myself and how I show up in the world when I challenge myself with dance.  I speak today about comparison and how that is the thief for all joy.  Signs from the universe as I hear a song that reminds me of my mother.  And so much more.  Where do you find yourself today?  What choices are you making?  Are you truly appreciating them ?  Would love to hear from you.  Find me on IG or FB .  ------------------------------------ If you are ready to journal your way to more joy, check out my journal today. • Matthew Brownstein : A life of Spirituality and the importance and impact of hypnotherapy
by moyrapodcast on November 19, 2022 at 10:51 pm

Matthew Brownstein joins me today for a fascinating conversation about spirituality and meditation. He had a spiritual awakening which lead him to seeking the truths of all mediation, hypnotherapy and more.  He is a wealth of information. His story and journey of life has been great.   Matthew J. Brownstein’s journey into spirituality, health, and healing began in 1992 with a profound spiritual awakening that made him begin seeking the truths of all the world’s great wisdom traditions.  This sudden shift into a spiritual view of life led Matthew to change his major in college to Philosophy, yet in time it became clear to him that Philosophy was too intellectual and did not offer the direct experiences that he sought for.  Changing his major to Religion, Matthew soon discovered Mysticism and the more esoteric branches which led to his increased spiritual experiences.  Not knowing what to do with this knowledge, he then went to his first Acupuncture College to learn more about how energy blockages keep us from health, wholeness, and spiritual realization. You will find him and all that offers the world through his site here.  You can learn more about meditation and find some samples of meditations on his OnLIne Monastery here.  -------------------------------------- If you are ready to journal your way to more joy, check out my journal today. Today on the show he shares his story that lead him to losing everything from his business, his wife, his children and being homeless on the streets of Manchester England for over a year . On a cold and wet English night, he fell to my knees and begged God to help him find a way from the endless nightmare that was his existence and moments later a man carrying a bible rounded the corner and offered me a helping hand.  His story is remarkable.  His level of commitment and compassion to help others who are struggling with addictions is tremendous. He does not mince words.  He had me laughing.  He had me crying.  He challenges us all.  And left me knowing that if we can help others have a better tomorrow than today , then we should do it.  You can find Dr. Robb Kelly on his site here. • Time to Celebrate:Reflection on my daughter being home and what I’ve learned
by moyrapodcast on June 10, 2022 at 11:25 am

It's been 4 months since our daughter came home from her most recent treatment stay. And many people ask how she is doing!!  She is going great !!!  And some days are hard!  I am taking this episode to celebrate though all the things that we have to celebrate. One of my coaches told me once I don't celebrate the good things enough. So that is what I am doing today.  For 7 years my daughter has struggled and been home many times. And I've learned SO much about when to speak, when to be quiet, boundaries for me and for the family .  I appreciate all of you for following along with this journey . It's been up and down and all around. And today is time to forgot about the bad times, put your troubles down and celebrate !!!  Thanks Madonna for the song  Holiday  May you find time to celebrate the good times today !!  Much love !!  ------------------------------------- Love this podcast?    Continue to support by liking, sharing and writing a 5 star review on Podbean or Itunes.   Buy me a cup of coffee here. https://www.buymeacoffee.com/juggling OR  Purchase your own Journey to Joy Journal .

John McLeod is the Husband of a recent guest Nicole McLeod. You can listen to her interview here.  Nicole mentioned that John may want to come on and share is side of the story. I was thrilled.  Addictions and disorders not only effect the 'patient'. They impact the whole family. this is a great conversation with John who is honest and open to share his side of things, watching his wife struggle and not be present and find her way to treatment and strong into recovery.  I think you will enjoy this episode and find much wisdom in what you hear.  thank you John.  -------------- ove this podcast?    Continue to support by liking, sharing and writing a 5 star review on Podbean or Itunes.   Buy me a cup of coffee here. https://www.buymeacoffee.com/juggling OR  Purchase your own Journey to Joy Journal .

  • Amy Guerrero, Trauma-Informed Recovery Coach talks Integration back into relating: How things can work as someone comes home from treatment.
by moyrapodcast on March 5, 2022 at 12:02 pm

Amy Guerrero, trauma-informed recovery coach, conscious sober person, and founder of Thrive In Recovery, has a coaching practice developed for sober people to heal their trauma, find success, and create healthy relationships with people, money, and themselves. Amy has learned how to go from admitting she was powerless to living powerfully, and believes it is her ultimate act of service to share her journey with others. I’m reaching out about having her on your show.    Amy knows from experience that getting sober is only the first step in a journey towards healing. She was pretending to be happy, thinking that the next meeting or the next therapy session would “fix” her and allow her to finally feel comfortable in her own skin, but it just wasn’t happening. Amy got busy educating herself, training and working with people in somatic experiencing, attachment theory, and other trauma-informed modalities, and relating it to living a conscious sober lifestyle. She turned her healing into her life’s work and now uses that education to coach people to feel more courage, hope and confidence in their sober life.  Blessed to be lead to Amy who is helping me today and our family. as our daughter has returned home from a treatment center.  I learned a lot. I think you will too.  ------------------------------ Support this podcast by buying a cup of coffee . • Days Like This! What do we do when the joy does return? How do we feel? Reflections on the last 2 months!
by moyrapodcast on October 29, 2021 at 5:29 pm

I love the song Days like this by Van Morrison. I never did pay attention to the words until it was mentioned as a possible mother-son dance at a wedding.  Then I listened. The words are below and I reference them in this episode.  And reflect on all that I have been doing the last 2 months, since my 58th  bday.  There has been lots of struggle and joy-less days.  And yet I found myself....in these 4 mentioned occasions , finding a feeling a JOY inside of me. And I knew there were days like these...and yet wondered if they would happen.  I hope you listen and enjoy...and hear that when we want the joy...its up to us!!!  And it's possible.  Days like this: Van Morrison.  When it's not always raining there'll be days like this When there's no one complaining there'll be days like this When everything falls into place like the flick of a switch Well my mama told me there'll be days like this When you don't need to worry there'll be days like this When no one's in a hurry there'll be days like this When you don't get betrayed by that old Judas kiss Oh my mama told me there'll be days like this When you don't need an answer there'll be days like this When you don't meet a chancer there'll be days like this When all the parts of the puzzle start to look like they fit it Then I must remember there'll be days like this There'll be days like this When everyone is up front and they're not playing tricks When you don't have no freeloaders out to get their kicks When it's nobody's business the way that you want to live I just have to remember there'll be days like this When no one steps on my dreams there'll be days like this When people understand what I mean there'll be days like this When you ring out the changes of how everything is Well my mama told me there'll be days like this   ----------------------------- The Journey to Joy Journal is available now.  My journal is available . • Mindset is KEY: What I learned from My Second Ballroom dance competition
by moyrapodcast on October 16, 2021 at 6:34 pm

As many of you know if you listen to this podcast and follow me on social media,  I took up ballroom dance lessons last July during the pandemic. I always have loved music and know I can dance if I have a good lead.  I've learned a tremendous amount about dance and about myself and I've seen that dancing is just a metaphor for life.  A couple past episodes I mentioned here. What ballroom dance has taught me.  Red Light Stories: What I learned at my first Ballroom dance competition  I decided to compete in another competition in September and I decided to go into it with a whole new mindset. And what a difference it made.  I had these thoughts while in Michigan with our son, helping him move in. So I recorded this. A little rough on the sound....but my thoughts none the same.    My journal is now available . Do you journal? Listen to the episode to hear how journaling helped me.  And order your today here. • A Call to a suicide hotline and years of struggle led Jen Debe on a mission of sharing hope for those who struggle with their mental health
by moyrapodcast on September 3, 2021 at 3:55 pm

My friend Jen Debe joins me today for a real conversation about mental health. I am blessed to call Jen friend and so impressed by the work she is doing to help increase awareness.  Jen Debe has struggled with mental illness for over 20 years.  In 1998, She was diagnosed with major depression and generalized anxiety disorder, one month after starting a new career.  A call to the suicide crisis hotline, followed by years of struggling to pinpoint a medication that would work for her put her on a lifelong mission to talk openly about her personal experiences dealing mental illness to let others know they were not alone.  In 2020, Covid-19 caused many people to feel isolated during quarantine and the cases of mental illness, suicide, addiction, and abuse skyrocketed, with rates predicted to rise. Due to the intense effects of Covid Jen’s heart called her to launch HTG, Happiness through Grace,  to promote happiness, change the narrative of mental health and donate funds to help non-profits with the overwhelming influx of cases.  You can find her at her site Happiness Through Grace  If you or someone you know needs helps, Please call someone. or the Suicide prevention hotline at. 800-273-8255!!!   ------------------------------------------ Wondering what supplements might be best for you ? • The Complex Nature of Grief: Kim MacNeill shares about losing her son to cancer and how the hole remains
by moyrapodcast on August 6, 2021 at 12:22 pm

My dear friend Kim MacNeill joins me today for a candid conversation about grief. As fellow hockey moms we share the love of hockey as our boys have played the sport. 8 years ago she lost her son Ross to a brain tumor.  I often have spoken with Kim about how I feel I have lost my daughter in a similar way albeit she is still alive, to this awful disorder of anorexia and OCD. Today the conversation is candid and raw and real. You will learn why mentioning the name of someone who has died to that loved on can be a gift.  I reference the podcast interview I did with with Claudia about grief. You will find it here.  Grief: A way of showing how much you have loved.   Kim has gone on to found the R33M Foundation: the Ross L MacNeill Foundation to end pediatric brain cancer. Her work to bring awareness and raise funds for research is tireless. We will not forget Ross and the impact he had on the lives he touched.  If you are grieving, find support. There are many who will support you when you ask for her. It is deep and real and something that remains and yet we all need to tend the garden around the hole that remains.  ---------------------- Like this podcast ? • We all get by with a little from our friends. Reflections and Gratitude about who has helped
by moyrapodcast on July 2, 2021 at 2:04 pm

That  is a an old Beatles song right? We all get by with a little from our friends.  Through the struggles of my daughter and her eating disorder and the death of my mom, I have seen the impact that having good friends surrounding you can have on your life. Eating disorders and addictions can cause chaos in your life. And they leave you feeling along and scared and experiencing things you never imagined. During this time I have reached out numerous time to ask for help for me or my daughter. And my Shaklee family of friends has stepped up in a way I never imagined. You will hear those stories today.  And I have learned the hard way that is is tough to ask for help, We look at ourselves at weak and incapable if we need help, Yet so many are willing to help if we are just brave enough to ask.  Take a listen and share with me your takeaways...and your experiences with your friends and help. And be a good friend today.  --------------------- Like this podcast ? by moyrapodcast on June 4, 2021 at 11:54 am

The first 200+ pound weight loss contestant from Extreme Makeover Weight loss edition Jacqui McCoy joins me today. I heard her story while at a Shaklee convention and we immediately struck by her honesty and truth she spoke about how this experience which should have been such a high point, lead to years of more struggle with body image and weight and so much more.  We have become close over the years and I am honored that Jacqui is able to share with you today her story. She has gotten through the tough spots of counting calories and workouts and working so hard for something that she thought she wanted to achieve. The television show left her  with her own eating disorder and much to learn about health. There were SO many extremes that they were expected to accomplish. She didn't even know how to be healthy after all that.  I know you will love this episode not just about the show but really about the NOW!!  You can find Jacqui on Facebook and IG here.    --------------------- Like this podcast ? • Grieving and Mourning: for a life you wish you had with those who struggle with addictions and eating disorders.
by moyrapodcast on May 28, 2021 at 12:04 pm

This time of year is one of celebrations , graduations from high school, college and moving onto college or the next phase of life. When someone is caught up in an eating disorder or addiction, they do lose out on these parts of life. And as a mom I have found myself grieving for a life I wish I had with my daughter.,  a life I wish she had with her family. It's sad and a reality. I find myself reflecting on this particularly now as my daughter , if she had followed a 'normal 'path to college after high school should have graduated now  I talk about the 12 steps, specially #11 , seeking after prayer and meditation and knowing that this path of my daughters is not her will or my will, it's really Gods plan and will.  Acceptance is key. Realization that grieving is ok . And what we can do during this time.  Have you felt grief like this? Mourning for a life you wish you had with your loved one? Would love to hear about it.  Like this podcast ? Want to support it?  Buy me a cup of coffee here. https://www.buymeacoffee.com/juggling   Give it a 5 start review, subscribe and share .
