Many have asked for this recipe.
It’s one of the most popular healthy protein snack recipe that I share.
It is simple and quick to put together.
What you get are yummy, healthy, protein filled snack balls.
Give them a try.
You will want to buy this protein , the Life Shake, to make your own.
Ingredients
1 c. Protein powder of your choice. I like to use the Shaklee Life protein in chocolate or vanilla. . Life Shake has pre and probiotics for digestive and immune health as well as omegas from flaxseeds which are great for brain and heart health! Life Shake is part of the new Life Plan, which is the best most comprehensive nutritional program in the world, backed by decades of science!
1 c. Natural Peanut Butter. I like the Trader Joes’ brand the best as it’s easy to mix up and only contains peanuts and a little salt .
1/2 c. honey: Local if you can find it. Best if you have local allergies.
Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix with your hands or with a hand mixer.
Refrigerate to set and ENJOY !!!
Optional ingredients:
mini chocolate chips or other things you like to add like dried fruit, nuts, coconut flakes, etc
Chia seeds! (such an awesome super food packed with nutrition!)
The key is having the right proportion of wet ingredients to dry. So you may need to add a little more of your peanut butter or honey if it’s too dry.
Why Shaklee protein?
I choose Shaklee protein because it is such a great healthy choice. Shaklee uses non-GMO ingredients and all of Shaklee products go through stringent testing to make sure they are free of any harmful ingredients. Shaklees non-GMO soy protein is unique because it uses a water wash process versus the more expensive acid wash to isolate the soy bean so you are still getting all of the goodness and nutrition from the soy bean without any risk of contamination or losing nutrient value. Dr. Shaklee was the first to extract and isolate the nutrients from the soy bean many years again. You can feel comfortable with any Shaklee products as Shaklee never uses any artificial in their products and guarantee it’s purity. And honestly this the best protein I have ever tasted.
And don’t forget to whip together some protein balls for you and your family.
WOW! This came out so delicious! I do the same thing, taking inspiration from a recipe and then changing it up. I had some left over roasted sweet potatoes so I just carmelized onions, browned the turkey in a pan, added some other vegetables, red thai chili paste, and a bit of lemongrass (along with everything you put in the recipe) and it came out amazingly delicious! My fiance was shocked because I put it together rather quickly and it was so yummy 🙂
